    Best Ferro Rod

Posted by Unknown on Jan 11th 2015

I must say this one by Fire Steel is the best. It produces plenty of sparks due to the added magnesium content I suspect. Once the outer coating is scraped off, get ready to light your fire!!

When second best is not an option

Posted by John on Dec 25th 2014

After using your products in Alaska, and relying on them as part of my survival kit in Afghanistan, as well as Iraq, these Firesteel products are worthy of reliance in the worst conditions. As a survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) Instructor, I teach others to use these products as part of their training. When you must be able trust a product's reliance, use Firesteel.com products.

    New User - Great Product

Posted by HFB on Dec 12th 2014

After reading many reviews I decided to try a Firesteel Bunker. This rod lives up to the reviews. I used to use a Strike Force but the spark output can't compare to the Firesteel. I also ordered Magnesium Blocks which are superior to previous purchases. I plan on ordering more Firesteel rods of various sizes so that I can have one available at all times. Firesteel delivers on its promises - it's as simple as that.

Not all ferro rods are created equal!

Posted by Justin Branham on Nov 12th 2014

I've had experience with numerous ferro rods from numerous manufacturers. I can without a doubt say that my five inch bunker outperforms any that I currently own. Some ferro rods require tremendous amounts of pressure, even from a hard 90 degree edge. My bunker gives me a bright shower of hot hot hot metal. The thing is money, firesteels.com was awesome as well.

Bunker 2.0 I never leave home without it.

Posted by Alfredo M. on Oct 10th 2014

I must of bought at least eleven or more fire steels from Ron, but the Bunker 2.0 is the best fire steel I owned. I trust no other brand than Firesteel.com thank you Ron.

    Great product

Posted by Unknown on Oct 7th 2014

Awesome product very impressed with the spark that it provides. I will be honest no fault of the company the half-inch was a little big for what I was going to use it for but it works great very good company fast shipping would definitely purchase from them again.

It works, simple and effective. The spark created is impressive and I have no doubt it will be useful in the field. It's big, easier to use than most ferro rods.

FireSteel Bunker 4.0 / Wind / Cotton Ball with Vaseline

Posted by S. Maxson on Oct 5th 2014

I received a FireSteel Bunker 4.0 about a week ago.Today I tested it under 15 mph windy conditions on open ground. I used a cotton ball with Vaseline petroleum jelly, a small amount mixed through the cotton ball. I used a pocket knife blade. ( 1 ) strike ignited the cotton ball. I am impressed! FireSteel fire steels are the best I have ever used and owned.
