Awesome ferro rod for a good price.
Bought this ferro rod to fit in my ltwright knives ferro rod sheath attached to the bushbaby's sheath, doesn't disappoint.

Fantastic product
Throws gobs of sparks. Not too soft, not too hard. I made a fat wood handle for mine. I wish I could upload a picture. This FireSteel is way better than the Bayite. Those are too hard and don’t throw good sparks.

Best Firesteel around
This is perfect for a long term survival bug out bag. This thing is huge and will provide more fires than I should ever need. The sparks this thing throws are hands down the best I have seen. I would highly recommend this product.

4” Armageddon
I picked up a few rods, scrapers and magnesium bars to build some fire making kits to go in my hunting and hiking packs. I had never used fire steel previously but decided to give them a try after once again being failed by a lighter. I followed the instructions and tried lighting a cotton ball doused in vaseline. To my shock it lit first try and burned for quite some time. Didn’t even use the magnesium. I am very impressed with quality of the sparks these rods throw as well as the product in general. I may well buy some more as gifts for a few hunting friends. Great product!

Firesteel Armageddon
This is my first real ferro rod, and I love it! I am glad I didn't get any shorter than the 3 inch, as I may have a hard time using it. 4 inch would not have fit in my fire tin. I'm also glad I got a hole in it for my lanyard. I like this so much, I am getting my two adult sons one for Christmas!

armagedden 4" X 5/16 striker
I should have paid more attention, I meant to order a 4"x1/2" rod. I am getting a bit jaded having been exposed to so many strikers over the years. The current rage is for the #2 or medium rod as it has a higher mag. content. That is particular true with the Leberlen striker. It definitely produces sparks that burn longer. I notice that Going Gear is now advertising it's strikers as mischrods(#2) Dave Canterbury has a video about mischrods. Over twenty years ago, I cut my teeth(so to speak) on mischrods. Suddenly mischrods went away and on the #1 rods were available. It's all very confusing. Anyway I like the #2 rods. There aren't too many good scrapers around. DMashburn
