    Fire in Alaska

Posted by SEAK SURVIVOR on May 20th 2011

Southeast Alaska is a rainforest, its always wet here and fires can be tricky. I carry the Armageddon FireSteel and Super Scraper along with a couple pieces of fatwood on a 550 cord lanyard eveyrwhere I go and have had great success. Highly recommend this product!!

    your firesteels are the best

Posted by Unknown on May 20th 2011

Hi Ron, I just wanted to drop you a quick note on how happy I am with Firesteel.com's products and customer support. A while back I emailed you with a question about scrapers and recieved a very prompt and informative response. Since then I have made two orders and your firesteels are the best I have found! I now own several models and am happy with all of them. Because of their superior quality and your excellent customer support I recommend Firesteel.com firesteels to everybody I speak to. Best, Bernie S, Michigan

    Fantastic Fireworks

Posted by Jaker in the Lakes Region on May 20th 2011

Fast shipping, Ron got my firesteels to me within just three days from my purchase. Took these firesteels into the backyard with the family and had a hotdog fire burning after just two scrapes with the firesteel striker. The first scrape doesn't count because that was needed to remove the protective black varnish off the new firesteel. These are so easy to use even my six year old daughter can start a fire with them no problem. We even dunked the firesteel in a bucket of water as a test and it still started a fire easily. Ron, you have a great product here which everyone should have and thank you for answering my email questions.

    Easy Fire Making

Posted by Jake McCoy on May 20th 2011

If you can't start a fire with this, then you must be injured, disabled or unskilled. The skill is not that hard to learn. I own this rod and also the Pup. The Pup is plenty sufficient, and I feel confident leaving home with my Pup only. So, the Armaggedon is extreme confidence. Firesteel.com was shipped fast with great packaging. Also, note that these rods are mischmetal, which allows longer burning sparks. If you compare the prices here to the LMF Swedish Firesteels (which are NOT mischmetal), you'll discover the prices here to be a bargain.

This is the paracord of Firsteel

Posted by Brian on May 20th 2011

This is the best Firestell I tried. I don't do any "surviving", but I do use it a lot for BBQ starting and my annual "camping" with a few buddies. I think it is called car camping. It is a lot more sturdier and throws off more sparks than the ones I get at the local hardware/camp store; including those "sweddish" or LMF ones. I also got the super scrappers. From what I saw from youtube videos, I knew I had to get this one. I even got a few for my friends. I can't wait for the BBQ season to really start to try it for real and not just on the driveway.
