    Sparks like a welder

My 11 year old daughter was able to get a welder load of sparks and a tinder bundle lit in a couple minutes of instruction. Nice!

Perfect size for small survival kit

Posted by Phil Motta on Feb 20th 2014

This Firesteel is large enough to comfortably handle yet small enough to easily fit in a small emergency/survival kit. With the lanyard hole, you can attach the scraper and/or magnesium tinder rod to it so they are never separated!

    first time buyer for FireSteel

Posted by lady in Texas on Feb 17th 2014

I just tried out the Armageddon Jr FireSteel today. I am a first time buyer. I really thought this product was awesome. No doubt about it. I will be making another order soon, now that I know how "FireSteel" performs. I am definitely going to get the palm striker this time too.

I've used this brand and model of Firesteel for years now and it has always performed well, Wet Dry Frozen doesn't matter.

    Best firesteel I've ever used

Posted by Glenn on Nov 19th 2013

The Armageddon is by far the best firesteel I've ever used. As one other reviewer stated, it doesn't throw sparks, it throws molten metal. it takes only one scrape across this steel to get your tinder going, and in my case I was using dryer lint. I'm going to experiment with other materials to see how well it does with those. You may need to include a welder's helmet with each Armageddon because when you strike that thing it is BRIGHT!

Sparks!?!?! NOPE, try Shards of molten metal!!

Posted by Jody on Nov 18th 2013

I will never order a firesteel from anyone else again. The Armageddon I just received is amazing. Being a guy, I just had to try it out when I got it. Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to go to the garage where the concrete floor would handle the "sparks". SPARKS!?!?!?!? What I witnessed was NOT sparks.....it threw shards of hot molten steele that burned right in front of my eyes. WOW!!! I thought the first try was a fluke, but the second, third, tenth, and twenty first all threw huge showers of fire. I just couldn't stop!!! I ordered more for Christmas gifts and one for EACH of my packs so that I couldn't accidentally forget to pack it.
