After finding as much info about where to find good quality Fero rods I decided to try these. I am not disappointed. These seem to be very high quality. I will probably pick up a few more after I put some use on the ones I got. Even after doing a so-so job of putting a 90 Degree spine on an older knife I had, these are throwing some good sparks. Obviously they shine with a better striking surface.

Great product- I buy these, put a nice Ironwod handle on them and give them to friends. Heard nothing but good remarks.

Throws large sparks and easy to start fire with. Nice size for a fire kit. Large enough to hold but not too large to be overkill. That said i will probably buy a larger one to keep in another area of my gear just in case
