    Perfect for survival knifes!

Perfect replacement for the original flint bar my survival came with. Performs better than the original bar creating bigger spark showers. Delivery was exactly as advertised. Highly recommended!

    The Pup

Excellent choice for camping, or for a backyard "beer fire". (Sitting around small controlled backyard fire, while enjoying an adult beverage.) Very easy to use, with quick, excellent results.

another good size ferro rod that throws plenty of sparks like all the rest of theirs. Pick a size. I'm going for one of each. lol.

    Great Steels!

Posted by Rob Babcock on May 1st 2020

This is at least the 5th or 6th order I've made from Firesteel.com and not my last. They're simply fantastic steels! They produce good hot sparks and are large enough to make a good amount of fires. I use the Pup Steels for my backup fire kits; in that role they excel. They're small enough to fit into any of my various match cases yet large enough to be easy to use. Lastly the service is always outstanding!

    Big enough

Posted by Mark Ball on Jan 7th 2020

This little firesteel works great and is big enough to get the job done. Bigger is usually better for starting a fire but remember you have to carry everything with you in the woods. This is a light weight effective very usable size.

I have been practicing with my firesteel magnisum bar with wax paper .The fine shavings on the wax paper lights fast with few strikes from the pup ferro rod so far real great no problems. Tom
