    Bunker Rod is a beginner's friend

    As a rookie bushcrafter who is attempting to learn the basic survival skills, the Firesteel Bunker is a must-have in fire making. the material is high quality, and the overall dimensions make getting those useful sparks very easy. I've struggled with several other "ferro rods" and this one is the first that I can use **with consistency** in my results. If you want to have ignition checked off your "things to worry about in the bush", get this rod.

    I purchased the large one. Very well made and it throws sparks like a lightning bolt. I’m sure it’ll last longer than I will. Thank you for making such a fine and useful product.

    These are gorgeous. Just holding it in my hand makes me feel all primal and fiery. Everybody should have one of these if for no other reason than to enjoy how magnificent they feel in the hand, and to really enjoy the incredible sparkage that they create!

    Sparks and effectiveness

    The rod has a nice size and produces quality sparks, everything mentioned about firesteel.com holds true and I’m glad I chose firesteel.com over all the other choices out there. I do honestly wish I had the biggest one available though, would have been incredibly convenient, especially due to the quality

    These firesteels are the best on the market. Period. I put custom handles on them and give them as gifts. I teach newbies how to start a fire with no matches, and their faces light up when they are successful.
