The GobSpark™ Ranger FireSteel by FireSteel.com adds a unique double lanyard hole handle to the popular Ranger FireSteel.
With a handle that was designed and is injection-molded (manufactured) right here in the United States, the GobSpark Ranger sports a 1/4 inch diameter x 2-1/2 inch long FireSteel that is made from the same world-class, great-gobs-of-sparks-producing formula that our other FireSteel.com FireSteel are famous for.
The design of the small handle allows for a better grip when scraping sparks from your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel. Your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel will come pre-strung with a FireSteel Super Scraper on a lanyard made from 24-inches of 550-paracord. (Color of the lanyard will vary.)
We came up with the idea of the GobSpark Ranger FireSteel kit to meet the demand for a cost effective way for our customers to obtain a world-class FireSteel and Super Scraper all-in-one kit. A favorite of scouting organizations as well as hikers and backpackers who have to watch every ounce that goes into their packs.
The 1/4 inch diameter rod is large enough to produce many hundreds of fires. It is super easy to hold on to your GobSpark Ranger Firesteel while scraping off sparks due to the way we designed for the lanyard to be strung through the two holes in the handle. You'll just have to get one to experience the ease with which such a compact piece of kit creates great gobs of sparks.
At this price point you can't go wrong ordering several GobSpark Ranger kits to scatter amongst your gear, vehicle's glove compartment, tool kits, fishing kits, etc. to ensure you can always start a fire when you need one.

Effective little brother perfect for pack.
While I love the larger models (The Armageddon is my favorite go to starter around the house) this size is great for my bug out and hunting pack. Having tested about 9 different fire steel products side-by-side, I can say confidently that these produce the most and longest lasting sparks of any other common available model or any others that I have ever used. These make great gifts too. Everyone appreciates them.

Perfect.
The Ranger is the perfect size to carry in your pocket or attach to your knife. It's quality made and comes with a striker. I ordered the orange so if I drop it I could spot it. I got this as a edc and plan on attaching this to my small camp knife with ranger bands. I liked it so much I'm going to have to order a couple more to give to family and have a few backups. Thanks again Ron!

Impressive sparks
Have used a few other brands-while they work- they don't produce the sparks like a gob-spark. Reminds me of the sparks given off by an electric welder TF

Perfect for Scouts and portable fire kits
This kit is great. It has a portable rod, nice little bright handle and a stellar striker all tied with a perfect sized loop of paracord. The price is right, it throws lots of sparks (as all firesteel.com products do) and the paracord means it is harder to loose the striker. This fits great in a tin and leaves plenty of room for tinder. Teaching kids on these is great due to the confidence boost of seeing great sparks come off it (which makes aiming and form a little less important) and hit the tinder. I have a number of friends that put in requests after seeing my GobSpark Armageddon in action and needed something for their kids (hope the kids actually get them, but I will probably need to order more). All in all, order extra so you get to keep a few.

Best Firesteel any where Any Time...
I have been a customer of firesteel.com since 2015 and have bought the 1/2" by 5" Bunker & the 3/8" by 6" Armageddon. the Gobspark Ranger w/striker which I also bought the magnesium rod that I placed on my neck knife. And 2 Gobspark Armageddon w/striker handle that I gave as gifts. Which are all awesome....I do not buy firesteels from anywhere else. These firesteels are all top notch. I am a customer for life and I tell all my friends to buy all their Firestreels here. Strike any of these firesteels and enjoy the fire works of sparks.

Portable Fire
The Gob Spark Ranger is the perfect companion for any kit. I have one in all of my survival kits. I even give them to some of my Boy Scouts as gifts. They are reliable and they always throw plenty of hot sparks.

Sparks easily!
Firesteel is perfect and is just as I'd pictured from the description. Not sure why you'd have any trouble getting a spark unless you're a small child, in which case you shouldn't be using a firesteel anyway.
