The GobSpark™ Ranger FireSteel by FireSteel.com adds a unique double lanyard hole handle to the popular Ranger FireSteel.
With a handle that was designed and is injection-molded (manufactured) right here in the United States, the GobSpark Ranger sports a 1/4 inch diameter x 2-1/2 inch long FireSteel that is made from the same world-class, great-gobs-of-sparks-producing formula that our other FireSteel.com FireSteel are famous for.
The design of the small handle allows for a better grip when scraping sparks from your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel. Your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel will come pre-strung with a FireSteel Super Scraper on a lanyard made from 24-inches of 550-paracord. (Color of the lanyard will vary.)
We came up with the idea of the GobSpark Ranger FireSteel kit to meet the demand for a cost effective way for our customers to obtain a world-class FireSteel and Super Scraper all-in-one kit. A favorite of scouting organizations as well as hikers and backpackers who have to watch every ounce that goes into their packs.
The 1/4 inch diameter rod is large enough to produce many hundreds of fires. It is super easy to hold on to your GobSpark Ranger Firesteel while scraping off sparks due to the way we designed for the lanyard to be strung through the two holes in the handle. You'll just have to get one to experience the ease with which such a compact piece of kit creates great gobs of sparks.
At this price point you can't go wrong ordering several GobSpark Ranger kits to scatter amongst your gear, vehicle's glove compartment, tool kits, fishing kits, etc. to ensure you can always start a fire when you need one.

Pease of Mind
I have never had a problem starting a fire with fire starters from Fire Steel. I purchased several of the GobSpark Ranger FireSteel for my sons and daugther-in-law, who like to frequent the back country in Wyoming and Yellow Stone. Knowing that they will carry these with them, will give me and I hope them some comfort in the event something goes wrong, they will have the ability to make a fire. I am a repeat customer!

There is a Difference!
These are hands down the best fire starters on the market. I am a return customer that has multiple fire starters from Fire Steel. These outperform every other style and brand fire starter that we or our Scout Troop has tried. I have bought these for family and friends and have one in every backpack and vehicle I own. Awesome product from an American company!

Compact but very effective
Even though I have the larger FireSteel.com firesteel, I bought several Gobspark Rangers to give as gifts. Of course I got two for myself to put in my two vehicles' glove compartments. I always suggest to watch the demonstration videos. I like the fact that one does not need a half can of fuel to start a fire. The prices are right and I could go on and on to tout the quality of the firesteel at FireSteel.com! Note: Not one review on YouTube was negative.

Great as a backup
Ordered two of these little jewels to keep as backups in case of whatever. They make fire starting super easy. I keep one attached to my water filter and the other one is in my spare parts bag. Just in case. Nice little tool that gives peace of mind. 'Cause ya never know what will happen these days. Be prepared.

I lost it before I got to use it
First time with it out in the woods and I took it off the lanyard and lost it so I really don't know how good it is being as I never got to use it one time.

Comfortable in your hand, sturdy, and packs one hell of a punch!
HUGE SPARKS, compared to my more than competent UST, it absolutely destroys it. Getting flames on command, showed my friend he was blown away. Got the Armageddon with palm striker and magnesium rod as well. Will most likely be buying duplicates for back ups, and specialized kits. Fast, and efficient shipping. A top quality product.
