The GobSpark™ Ranger FireSteel by FireSteel.com adds a unique double lanyard hole handle to the popular Ranger FireSteel.
With a handle that was designed and is injection-molded (manufactured) right here in the United States, the GobSpark Ranger sports a 1/4 inch diameter x 2-1/2 inch long FireSteel that is made from the same world-class, great-gobs-of-sparks-producing formula that our other FireSteel.com FireSteel are famous for.
The design of the small handle allows for a better grip when scraping sparks from your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel. Your GobSpark Ranger FireSteel will come pre-strung with a FireSteel Super Scraper on a lanyard made from 24-inches of 550-paracord. (Color of the lanyard will vary.)
We came up with the idea of the GobSpark Ranger FireSteel kit to meet the demand for a cost effective way for our customers to obtain a world-class FireSteel and Super Scraper all-in-one kit. A favorite of scouting organizations as well as hikers and backpackers who have to watch every ounce that goes into their packs.
The 1/4 inch diameter rod is large enough to produce many hundreds of fires. It is super easy to hold on to your GobSpark Ranger Firesteel while scraping off sparks due to the way we designed for the lanyard to be strung through the two holes in the handle. You'll just have to get one to experience the ease with which such a compact piece of kit creates great gobs of sparks.
At this price point you can't go wrong ordering several GobSpark Ranger kits to scatter amongst your gear, vehicle's glove compartment, tool kits, fishing kits, etc. to ensure you can always start a fire when you need one.

one word; DAMN!!!
talk about sparks. I'm not the best knowing in rod fires but you know its good when that "damn" goes trough your body. Never seen so much sparks come off rods before trying this one out. 1 scratch to take off coating then 1 scratch for big sparks and that was with barely any pressure. I probably could've made massive sparks with pressure. Used to playing around with cheap Chinese rods and spark them in my living room to test them, you can be sure i won't do that again with firesteel rods lol. Freaked me out. Wasn't expecting that. Top notch and for the price, gonna buy much more.(i wonder what the bigger Armageddon i think there called would do.ummm....gonna have to buy one and see.) worth every penny and won't buy elsewhere.

It sparks first time evry time.
I was amazed how easy it worked.I would recommend this product to my friends. A great survival tool to have on hand .You never know when the bottom of our economy is going to go bust .It nice to know you have this tool in your bug out bag. Respectfully R. Sherman

Small Package, Big Sparks
I already have the Gob Spark, so I know the quality of the Gob Spark Ranger would be just as awesome. I was right. I bought two for my EDC Outdoor Survival Kit. One for me and the other for my son. I never want to be in the field and not be able to start a fire. The Gob Spark Ranger, insures that I can have fire 95% of the time. It's a perfect addition to my micro kit. I don't go outdoors without it. My next purchase will be the 6 inch version.

Great for extra locations
These little rods are perfect for my kids. They're small enough for their hands and work GREAT....Allowing them to get the reward of a shower of sparks every time. I put one in my Get home bag, another as a backup in my BOB and another as a backup in my Scout Pack. I look forward to trying the Big Daddy God Spark when I have a little more play money. I've got rods from everyone out there but the quality of the product from Firesteel.com is the best I've seen..hands down!

One of the best fire starters I've ever owned
I owned two of these previously and just love them on camping trips and I keep them in are vehicles for emergencies. Easy to use.

Great addition to my survival bag.
I was researching fire starting tools and came across a blog that mentioned getting the biggest ferro rod you could fit in your kit. I never even thought ferro rods came in sizes. It's tiny, but it has never failed to light a fire. When I read "go big". I looked around for bigger rods and found Firesteel.com. I took the plunge and ordered a Gobspark. The sparks it kicks off are impressive, and it requires far less force to use. Based off home tests, I am buying more.

The Boy Scouts love these
My two scouts were really impressed with how easy it was to get sparks off these, lots of sparks. They've seen and used other fire starters at various camps and fire starting challenges and the GobSpark Ranger (perfect for their size hands!) produces a larger shower of sparks than all the others.
