Excellent and easy to use
After reading the directions ("Press down hard...simultaneously very quickly scraping...quick fluid motion...takes a little practice and experimentation...") I was ready to spend a while figuring out how to make a proper spark. I cleaned off the protective coating of the rod, struck it fairly gingerly with a short stroke, and a shower of large bright sparks shot off the rod. So much for the steep learning curve... :>) Now to test the magnesium... (outdoors)

Bunker Firesteel.
A few days ago I received the Bunker Firesteel from Ron, and it is by far the best firesteel I have ever owned. This steel really throws alot of Hot sparks without much effort. I Own of firesteels and the one's i have purchased from Ron at FIRESTEELS.com are by far the best. also they have very fast shipping and are very friendly.

First time buyer of Firesteel.com firesteel
I love this product! There is no comparison between this and all the others I've tried. I lit a fire last night with a cotton ball coated with vaseline with one strike! One strike ignited the ball. It usually takes at least a minute of trying with the others, but this thing threw huge chunks down that lasted a couple of seconds. Thanks for a great product!!

Freaking Awesome!
Throws TONS of sparks. From a standing position, it will throw enough sparks that they will 'dance' on the ground briefly at my feet. I may wear it out just playing with it!

The bunker is large enough to scrape off some serious molten firesteel action! It might be impossible to wear this tool out, FYI. There is a black protective coating that will require a "pre-scraping" prior to use. The first pass (after the black oxide was removed) produced huge showers of heavy molten sparks. You can actually hear the faint "thud" as they hit the ground! The wad of paper that my firesteel was shipped with was instantly aflame on the first pass. This is definitely the one you're looking for...
