The 3/8 diameter x 4 inches long Armageddon 4.0™ by FireSteel.com with pre-drilled lanyard hole, plus the famous Super Scraper and lanyard to go with it.
Add the optional Magnesium Tinder rod (3/8" x 3") and you'll have the means to start a fire even in damp conditions.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY IMITATIONS
I have tried several other fire starters and they do not give the amount of sparks like this Firesteel...Glad i found this product!!

Perfect
Took this along with the larger Gobspark on a trip to Montana last week (mid June '14). It did a bang-up job and got the camp fire started every time. The size is perfect for pocket carry, but still big enough for me to use (XL work glove - sized hands) without any problem. Both this and the GobSpark work as advertised - much easier than a magnesium bar + flint. It was the favorite fire starter among the campers.

I like the length of the 4.0 and actually got it for my kids so they have a little more to "hang on to" Throws great sparks too.

Great firestarter!
This firestarter works as advertised. Makes a hot spark which usually works the first time. You can use whatever is your favorite tender; I find that dryer lint works very well. One problem though; the paracord loosened up in my pocket and, within a week, my striker was missing. My fault for not checking the knot. Also, the ends of the paracord quickly frayed, becoming too short to be useful. Again, my fault. I should've fused the ends with a match to prevent fraying. A great product, not cheap Chinese junk. A little more attention to detail would've been nice.

I don't have any tools to measure the temperature of this fire steel, but in real life test it will light your fire better or at least the same as the best fire steel you have. Magnesium works great too. It arrived very fast on the mail too!! Thanx for a great product!
