FireSteel Armageddon 4.0 with Scraper and Lanyard

This thing sends out quite a shower of sparks. Only thing is I wish I had known about the Gobspark and Palm Scraper first, I would have ordered those instead.

I'm not sure how you infused molten lava into these things but you did! I've been using flint & steel for years and love doing that, but was finally intrigued enough to try a ferro rod. Was excited when they arrived and decided to spark it up while in the garage. These things aren't sparks, they're mini gobs of the sun burning with mad intensity! Second pull of the rod & boom, the packed instruction set was in flame. Now how cool is that! NOTE: Do not try while wife is in close proximate. Killer job FireSteel.

I have used this firesteel many times since my purchase. It is of excellent quality and produces a hotter and higher quantity of sparks than any of the similar products I have used. There truly is a noticeable difference between firesteel.com ferro rods and other ferro rods. The striker, as simple as it is, is a must. It allows better control than the back of a knife blade, and produces a shower of sparks even with other ferro rods. The magnesium rod works great. I'm not sure if it is the composition of the metal or the cylindrical shape, but it is much easier to scrape shavings than the standard mag block. Using the scraper, you can scrape a quarter sized pile of magnesium shavings in about 1-2minutes. The magnesium burns very well with a spark from the ferro rod. I will only buy from firesteel.com.

First of all I received the package a day or two sooner than expected. Very dependable customer service getting this item out to me. Second: The shower of sparks were two to three times more the amount of the ones I bought from another company at an earlier date which then I thought was good. No disappointment here. I haven't checked out the mag rods yet but they half to be good coming from this company. I will give a review at a later time. Thanks for the quality of the Armageddon 4.0 with scraper and magnesium rod. Outstanding product. I wish I had this in the Corps back when. Will be ordering more for family and friends. Semper Fi.

I bought the Firesteel Armageddon to have a durable fire starter in my 72 hour bag. I didn't realize I had bought a tiny flamethrower. I AM IMPRESSED. Whatever alien technology Firesteel has come across is superior.

Good stuff, throws spark like crazy. Magnesium rod was cut crooked, which has zero affect on how you will use it, just weird. You will want to throw the lanyard away and make your own. Packaged awesome, wish more company's did that. Only wish I would have bought the bigger one!

These fire starters are the best.I bought one after seeing a review on YouTube, took it out and tested it on a camping trip. The people with me were just as impressed as I was. Worked just like I saw on the reviews. I now bought several more to give as gifts. I now keep one in my backpack and one one with my survival knife. Great product!

Makes sparks easily (with enough pressure!). Great scraper. My hands are fairly large and both are a good fit. Will be back for the magnesium rod. If you want magnesium just get all three to start. Haven't hiked off the known face of the earth and placed my life in jeopardy if it didn't work but did use it in my "out back" (my back yard!). Worked great with cotton balls/petrolatum fire starters.
