The FireSteel Armageddon™ Series by FireSteel.com are 3/8 of an inch thick.
The 3/8 diameter x 4 inches long Armageddon 4.0™ by FireSteel.com with pre-drilled lanyard hole, plus the famous Super Scraper and lanyard to go with it.
Add the optional Magnesium Tinder rod (3/8" x 3") and you'll have the means to start a fire even in damp conditions.

Even my kids can start a fire
This is an amazing product! After using many different fire starters, I decided to give this one a try. Shoots a large amount of sparks with little effort, even my kids can start a fire. I've recommended this and other products to all my bushcraft buddies with the same results. Product was ordered late Friday, shipped Saturday and arrived Tuesday! Could not be more pleased.

Fits with my Leatherman Blast Tool
I got this item to put in the nylon sheath of my Leatherman Blast tool. It is a snug fit in the sheath with the lanyard wrapped around the flap and the scraper tool on top of the Blast tool. Sorry I don't have pictures to show, but it all fits together very nicely. I am glad I bought this size (3/8"x4") firesteel. Delivery was very quick.

Just got my Firesteel.com order in today, while at work. Just like another reviewer stated, I also had a co-worker that wanted to test it out, so I let him go first and he was able to light a piece of a paper towel on fire with only a few strokes and no previous experience. He now wants to order one as well. WOW!!! this is so much easier than using the mag bar from Academy. I am beyond ecstatic, I will definitely be buying the Magslab Firestarter next to have the extra scraper and firesteel. I love this stuff.
