A decent fire starter for the size !

Don't let it's size fool you. With a little practice , this miniature fire steel will Light anything the large steels can. You just got to know what your doing.

Cut a suitably short length of 550 paracord, remove the 7 inner strands, slip in the miniature steel, sear the ends of the cord with a flame (per usual with paracord), and string onto your keychain.

exactly what I wanted...a steel that sparks heavily, is small and easily stored in my survival kit. It came very fast (a couple days and friendly service. I don't give 5 stars very often but they deserve it!

I had trouble envisioning how small this tool would be, but it is just perfect; large enough to grip and get a lot of strikes from, but small enough to fit into even the small camp or survival kits. i was going to put a handle on it, but it works fine for me without one. I'm very happy! The fact that it arrived in no time at all is just a bonus.
