    First, but not the last

Posted by Unknown on Mar 11th 2013

After scraping off the coating, I took a wad of dryer lint, rolled it into a small ball and it lit on the second strike. Must have!

    Excellent Product

This was my first purchase at Firesteel.com. The product is exactly as described, and it was delivered quickly. Firesteel.com has a great website, too. It's informative and well-organized. All-in-all, a great purchasing experience.

    Amazing

Posted by Jim on Oct 30th 2012

I have to say thank you for this amazing product. I don't know how ANYONE couldn't start a fire with this FireSteel. The sparks just fly off the rod. I tried it out on a cotton ball with a touch of vaseline and also on some paper that I had run through my shredder. In both cases, I had fire in seconds. You cannot find a better firesteel. I'll be ordering again shortly to include this in all my gear packs.

    Must have firestarter

Posted by Joel in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Sep 28th 2012

Have had one of these for a while, never failed to start a fire. It worked using birch bark as tinder. Just ordered 4 more, one for each car and one for my pack.

    Best I've Ever Used

Posted by Tighe on Sep 4th 2012

Received my order in about 2 days. Fast shipping and a great product. I've used it several times already with cotton ball tender and it's built a good fire every time. This size is perfect for my RV. I have a survival size for backpacking and a tube version for my jeep.
