    Year running and still going

Posted by Unknown on May 18th 2011

I've had it for over a year now and I too was thinking about getting one of the Swedish Firesteels but this website caught my eye and im glad it did. I braided a line around one end of the blank firesteels to give it a little grip and a loop if i need to put it on my keys. I usually keep it on the side slot of my leatherman case, giving me a good advantage for firestarting if need be. I would highly recommend buying.

Best Ferro Rods I have Used

Posted by Richard in the Midwest on May 18th 2011

If you want to start a fire using ferro rods (firesteel), Ron's FireSteel.com firesteels are the way to go. Even my pre-teen children know how to start a fire using firesteels from this company. Great product.

    Awesome products!!!

Firesteel products are a 'must buy' for everyone! You actually get a reply from them when you make contact! I could not just order one item and got 2 Firesteel 'Survival' rods, 2 'Magesium Tinder' rods and 2 Super Scapers! Ordered on a Saturday and got them on Monday, now that is Customer Service!! Simple to use just like shown in the videos.!

    Wow...all you'll need

I bought this firesteel after doing some research and am glad i did!! For the price, this has to be the best deal and I'm positive that if used in a survival situation it may last longer than you. I can definitely this out performs those small "cute" fire steels with the fancy orange handles and is much more affordable. Buy two of these for the price of one of those! Im definitely a happy (and warm) camper!
