FireSteel Super Scraper

I have orderd over 30 of these scrapers now. If you are in to bushcraft/survival/preparedness, you will not find a better product for making any ferro rod shower sparks and ignite a fire. Because fire should be considered one of your top priorities in survival, you should own and carry several ferro rods and scrapers. Fire will save your life, it keeps you from hypothermia and freezing, it boils water and sterilizes it for safe drinking, it cooks your food and can signal your whereabouts if lost and keep animals and bugs away.So I consider fire one of the big four along with food, water and shelter. As I mentioned, keep these in all your packs, BOB's, INCH bags, GHB's, and fire kits. Many people carry lighters for making fire and that's OK when conditions are perfect. But a ferro rod paired with these strikers will work in any condition and especially when wet, not to mention their longevity over lighters. So don't be caught without fire making capability. I thought I was getting sparks before but these scrapers take that to a whole new level.

I have tried all kinds of scrapers the lame ones that come with starters, tools that I carry, my knives, anything that might have dual purpose, but the SUPER SCRAPER is the best! You can even run it down your blade in a pinch to restore an edge. This scraper is so good I got 4 more of them to go with all my packs.

I originally bought two of these with two firesteels (1/4 X 3) and have not been disappointed. I read there was a concern about the temperature of the firesteel sparks damaging the temper of some scrapers, but I have exclusively used only one and have not had an issue with this. I bought five more to go with the five 3/8 X 3 firesteels so I am prepared for a long time with regard to striking a fire. I highly recommend these.

The scraper is easy to use and very efficient, works extremely well to scrape magneisiem. As it's called a super scraper it does it well.

I love this scraper and have been replacing scrapers on all my other fire steels with these, because those other fire steels work better with the super striker. I have seen other strikers come out from different companies and I have used them, but none have done better than the Super Scraper, even though some are much more expensive. For this price, there is no way I can see any other striker comparing to it.

I purchased a couple of these to replace the fire steel scrapers that came with my fire steels because they would barely make sparks. The Super Scraper makes it rain sparks! And they are so inexpensive! By far the best fire steel scrapers around.

I like the small size and once I got the hang of using it, it throws fabulous sparks; starting fires is easier than using matches. The price is good too. If I need more, I will not hesitate to order them from FireSteel.com!
