Make upwards of 20,000 fires from one GobSpark™!
Invented by FireSteel.com to maximize your grip on this large FireSteel, you'll get the biggest most robust gobs of sparks you have ever seen from a FireSteel.
If the ability to make fires is important to you, this is the FireSteel to get.
People are calling our GobSpark Armageddon "the best firesteel in the world".
But don't take our word for it: read the reviews below and decide for yourself.
It's not just a firesteel. It's a firemaking system.
The GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel starts with an ulta-unique FireSteel Handle attached to a big World famous FireSteel.com FireSteel.
But there is much more:
And you can choose a great FireSteel Scraper:
Imagine trying to start a fire with hands numbed from the cold or while wearing gloves. A small blocky firesteel handle may be very difficult to hold onto.
But using a GobSpark™ Armageddon and Palm Scraper presents no problem, even with gloved hands.
I KNOW these work because I use them myself in the Great North Woods, where winter temperatures routinely dip to minus twenty degrees and lower. No need to remove my gloves to light my fire! My hands remain toasty warm inside my mittens.
In fact, if the GobSpark Armageddon didn't work, I'd be dead. Hows that for product testing!"
To use this special FireSteel Handle (see video below as well as the pictures)
This will produce a massive shower of white hot 5500 degree F sparks aimed directly at your tinder.
The special shape of the handle allows for creative attachment to your belt or gear.
This great piece of American-made gear securely snaps onto your GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel, serving double purpose as a protective case. The rectangular shape fits snugly into the palm of your hand or glove, so that you can scrape sparks from your firesteel even with heavy gloves on your hands or when your fingers are so cold you can hardly move them - potentially a life saver when you are freezing cold or wet from an overturned boat etc.
If you already own a GobSpark Armageddon or just want a Palm Scraper, you can purchase the Palm Scraper separately.
Here is a testimony that came recently came in:
"I teach primative firemaking to Boy Scouts, showing them all sorts of technologies that don't require a match, some dating back hundreds of years. In the firesteel section, I show them a few cheap versions, and the circle comes in closer. Then I pull out my GobSpark Armageddon and throw a few sparks and they instantly jump back as sparks dance down the picnic table and fall off the other side. Really, REALLY impressive!"

Nothing compares to these. The real test, with gloves on, half frozen hands, shivering, and in the dark...the Gob Spark is still easy to use and always gets the job done. Typically one strike = fire (if you have done your job and prepared your tinder, of course) Commercial tinder, improvised tinder, even slightly damp tinder, they all light with ease. The big, long lasting sparks are essential for damp, cold environments.
I've demonstrated the Gob Spark in full, brilliant sunlight and still get a "WOW!" from those that see it in action. Gob Spark is the name and giant gobs of sparks are what you get.
But a better testament to just how good this product is: I grab it first, before the Bic and before the matches. It's just that damn good.
I really can't tell how long it will last. I've struck sparks with it several hundred times and it barely shows wear. Sure there are bright streaks and a little flattening of the rounded profile, but that amounts to negligible wear so far. It will last many years for me and probably a lifetime for most.
It is big and the handle makes it bulky, but when your hands are stiff from cold and you are shivering and unsteady, the large handles on the Gob Spark and it's striker make fire starting a simple task instead of a chore.
This is the best of the best.
Thank you, Steve. You've expressed exactly why I invented the GobSpark! - Ron.

This is the best firesteel that I have ever owned. It is very large in diameter and throws a great spark pattern. The case and striker are great quality and being able to protect the ferro rod while in your pack or pocket is useful to the lifespan. I highly recommend this product.

I wish I would have found the GOBSPARK ARMAGEDDON sooner! It would have saved me a lot of money and unless somebody knows something I don't, this has got to be the BEST ferro-rod made! Please take my word on this; I have about 15 different ones which are now in the kitchen junk drawer after testing the GOBSPARK ARMAGEDDON. This is the BEST FireSteel I've ever put my hands on!!! I put a bright orange 550 paracord lanyard through the GOBSPARK ARMAGEDDON and PALM SCRAPER handle and it hangs around my neck 24-7. I only take it off long enough to shower. This is definitely top-shelf quality. When my wife gives me my monthly allowance, I guarantee I will be buying a few more. What she don't know, don't hurt. I forgot to mention it only took 3 days to get my order! Please keep up the GOOD work!!!

This is the best fire tool I've ever had. Super fat hot sparks. Just one or two scrapes and FROOM!!!! you got FIRE. I gave it four stars because I believe the Palm Scraper should be included. They are a set but sold separately. Hmm, like buying a yo-yo without the string. I tried to use the steel without the scraper but it was difficult to get sufficient sparks. A piece of hacksaw blade or a piece of file were okay but the Palm Scraper was far better.

The Gobspark Armageddon is the best firesteel I've ever tried.

This thing is an absolute monster. The ultimate piece of equipment available. Also bought the Ranger, love it too. Smaller and lightweight but still more powerful than anything you've seen. Will be buying back ups. Great company, fast shipping. Mag rods are awesome too. All set up now!

I just received my new GobSpark Ferro Rod in the Mail. Great Turn-around time. It seems like 1st Class Mail is the way to go when dealing with the USPS.
I didn't order the 'Palm Striker' because I already have one and simply moved my existing GobSpark to my Bark River Knives Sheath with a Ferro-rod 'Cup holder', and the new GobSpark rod goes into the original Palm Striker/Holder, the assembly resides in my 'Bail-Out-Bag' along with a few other items.
I have used Ferrocerium and Magnesium rods since I was a Boy Scout (I'm 62, now). I carry them with me for emergency fire making; I'm sure many do.
The GobSpark is the best I've used. There may be something better out there, but I've not used it. So, for me, this is the 'best'.
Thanks for making a great product priced right!

I'm former Army, wore the BDU and ACU. I know that dates me but oh well. I've used a lot of ferro rods for camping, sere and otherwise. I have minimal use of my left hand and I can use this product without discomfort or pain. It is one of the best on the market! Thanks and keep up the great work.

First strike produced a HUGE amount of sparks that started a fire immediately!

Just got my GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel and after wiping off the protectant goo I tried it out on a crumpled up paper towel. The sparks are easy to produce and they tend to linger on the object they land on. After a few swipes with the steel my paper towel started smoldering and flames started within a couple of seconds. Very easy in dry conditions. I will be trying it out in damper weather and also with the cotton balls and petroleum jelly. I expect good results. Seems like a great product.

Bought the orange version for my two oldest kids. They've watched me make fires since they were little, (I was buying from firesteel.com before firesteels were a big thing) but they struggle with the standard rods, even after I've attached a handle. They have no trouble with these. Slim chance they'll lose them either with the bright orange color. I have no doubt, years from now these will still be working as well as on day one.

I was super excited to receive my Gobspark fire steel in orange 3 days after I ordered it. Thank you for responding on the invoice too! It is very well made and glowing bright so it is easy to spot if you were to drop it. Which I feel is very important feature. I put it in my camp kit. I also ordered a ranger in orange which I'm going to attach to my camp knife with ranger bands as a secondary backup. I will be ordering more to give to family in case of an emergency. I also will be ordering one of your magnesium bars with striker. Thanks Ron for a quality US product!

Ron I recieved my Gobspark armmegedon and my ranger today! Super fast service and nice response haha! I'm excited to go camping now lol!! Thank you! You can see the quality of this product it looks to be tough made the striker is quality. I ordered the orange Gobspark armmegedon and I'm glad I did because if I was to ever drop it I could spot it! This orange color on the Gobspark armmegedon practically glows! You could spot it easy if you ever dropped it. If I was going on a survivor show I would definitely take the Gobspark. I plan on using the Gobspark Armmegedon in my camp bag and just carry the little ranger with me as I'm planning on hanging the ranger in with a small tiny neck knife w/leather sheath and p38. I plan on ordering a couple more from you to give to my mom and my sister and even my elderly uncle. He is in his 80s and likes gadgets like this. He will get a kick out of starting a fire with it. My sister lives up in the hills of Southeast Missouri and burns wood. I want to put together a few items for her in case of an emergency as they often get flooded in with spring rains. Plus you never know. I want to get one of your magnesium bars too. I know they will be quality. Already my friend likes it so I will get her one too! I think everyone should have one of your quality fire steels handy in case of emergency. I will be ordering again Ron. Thanks so much!

I've used them all but the Gopspark Armageddon is the best. It's uniquely designed with a fantastic striker. The Firesteel is light and easy to slip into any EDC kit. You will not be disappointed with this firesteel.

Headline Says It All.
This product will start your fires. It is a 10/10 on the quality. This product is American made & American processed, it is of heavy duty and reliable firesteel material.
I will trust my life to this product.
I will recommend it to everyone, and will buy more.
If you are in the service, get one, it is a backup that will make you a fire when all other fire starters fail.

this thing has a great handle on it, and is awesome with the palm scraper. i imagine this being really user friendly in the cold, with gloves or just numb fingers.
the rod throws good, hot sparks that stay burning for a decent moment. i have three different brands and sizes of ferro rods, this one was purchased for its ergonomics. i will definitely always carry at least two, this being one of them.

This thing is a godsend- or rather a Ron-send, since the personal, American-made, down-to-earth-reliability of the product makes me feel like it was handed to me plucked straight from Ron's private reserves.
My first firesteel was an old army steel from my grandpa that lasted me forever. When it wore out though, I made the mistake of buying a random one off ebay without doing any research and that piddly little plinker couldn't light it's way out of a dry paper bag without 20-30 strikes.
After some research I settled on this puppy and man oh man, after using a wal-mart-special for a couple months I wasn't ready for the sheer amount of energy this thing throws off- I had my kindling (waxed jute rope) all bundled up and ready to go, and gave it a good solid strike... the bundle went up in a single hit, startling the pants off me and earning them a lifetime repeat customer. I also got a ranger for my Wife and she loves it.
10/10, five stars, would and will buy again.

I did a llot ofresearch on fire steels before purchasing two Gobspark armaggedons. The steels are part of a fire kit I am putting together one for my wife and one for me.. So I was looking for quality and dependability, found it with the gob sparks. Love the orange handles and strikers as I am always laying things down and forgetting where I put the item, now the misplaced article will be visible. Initial testing, great gobs of sparks. I couldn't be happier with the choice of the gob sparks, feel confident that they will serve us well for emergency situations as well as teaching our grand kids a different method of fire making skills without matches or lighters. Highly recommend anyone to buy one or two.

I won't go anywhere else to get my fire steel. Simply awesome. Telling my brothers and all my sons about it. Thank you. Great product.

This thing starts fires, period. The spark comes off large, hot, and ready to ignite whatever it touches. The handles on the firesteel and on the scraper are easy and comfortable to use.
The only problem (?) I've had is I can't seem to get a "shower" of sparks and instead get one big piece that burns like crazy. While this works great for starting fires with tinder, it doesn't work as well when igniting a stove. I'd say the issue is either technique or the lack of a serrated edge (other firesteel scraper is serrated), so I'll keep trying to see what I can get. On the other hand, carrying an alternate small firesteel in the stove bag is no big deal for me and the single large hot glob I get from this firesteel is instant win for setting tinder aflame.
