Make upwards of 20,000 fires from one GobSpark™!
Invented by FireSteel.com to maximize your grip on this large FireSteel, you'll get the biggest most robust gobs of sparks you have ever seen from a FireSteel.
If the ability to make fires is important to you, this is the FireSteel to get.
People are calling our GobSpark Armageddon "the best firesteel in the world".
But don't take our word for it: read the reviews below and decide for yourself.
It's not just a firesteel. It's a firemaking system.
The GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel starts with an ulta-unique FireSteel Handle attached to a big World famous FireSteel.com FireSteel.
But there is much more:
And you can choose a great FireSteel Scraper:
Imagine trying to start a fire with hands numbed from the cold or while wearing gloves. A small blocky firesteel handle may be very difficult to hold onto.
But using a GobSpark™ Armageddon and Palm Scraper presents no problem, even with gloved hands.
I KNOW these work because I use them myself in the Great North Woods, where winter temperatures routinely dip to minus twenty degrees and lower. No need to remove my gloves to light my fire! My hands remain toasty warm inside my mittens.
In fact, if the GobSpark Armageddon didn't work, I'd be dead. Hows that for product testing!"
To use this special FireSteel Handle (see video below as well as the pictures)
This will produce a massive shower of white hot 5500 degree F sparks aimed directly at your tinder.
The special shape of the handle allows for creative attachment to your belt or gear.
This great piece of American-made gear securely snaps onto your GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel, serving double purpose as a protective case. The rectangular shape fits snugly into the palm of your hand or glove, so that you can scrape sparks from your firesteel even with heavy gloves on your hands or when your fingers are so cold you can hardly move them - potentially a life saver when you are freezing cold or wet from an overturned boat etc.
If you already own a GobSpark Armageddon or just want a Palm Scraper, you can purchase the Palm Scraper separately.

I picked this up to create a fire making kit for camping and IT WORKS way better than expected. I would recommend FireSteel.com to anyone looking for a good firesteel.

I have several of these Armageddon firesteels now. I carry them in my survival gear and would not travel without one. These are first rate quality.

Never used a fire steel before. After 24hrs of rain I was able to find some dry thatch around the base of tree for a tinder bundle. Third strike from the steel and the tinder caught and I had fire. How easy is that?

I've used the ferro rod on doan bars and swedish firesteel. Nothing compares. Using small peeling segments of birch bark and some dry kindling, I had a fire going with 1 foot of snow surrounding me and rain the night before. No other fire starters necessary. If you PRACTICE and prepare, you wont be disappointed with this product. I will never buy my firesteel anywhere else. Thanks!

Every time I strike the bar, I get sparks, but the superiority of this fire steel is in the tiny embers (gobs) that roll off and can last a second or more in the tinder. Two or three rapid strikes will usually light a plain Kleenex tissue.

On a recent campout I took multiple ways to start fires so I could pick the best one for my gear bag. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it) the first one I tried was the GobSpark. Demoing the unit to my campmate I pointed out that in the past when I tried to use any of the "spark" type of fire starters I wound up looking like I was arc welding. Lots of bright lights but no fire. First spark off GobSpark had the fire going in a single attempt. Damn impressive. Next evening a friend had joined us and when I went to demo it for him I explained I'd probably gotten "lucky". Struck once and I guess I missed the tinder, second strike and blazing fire ensued. Not bad, 2 fires with 3 swipes on the GobSpark. At this rate the thing will last my lifetime.

Bought several of them, once through the coating, the amount of sparks shed with a single strike was pretty amazing. I've got the magnesium, too, along with other tools, cotton and vaseline, so I think I'm covered for camping, kayaking, and backpacking needs. I can't start ground fires everywhere I go, but I do fire up my ultra-light stove and plan to use the FireSteel for that, too, rather than matches. Thanks!!
