Easy to Use with Gloved or Cold Hands
Imagine trying to start a fire with very cold hands or while wearing gloves. A small blocky firesteel handle may be very difficult to hold onto. But using a GobSpark™ Armageddon FireSteel presents no problem, even with gloved hands
Easy to Aim Your Sparks onto the Tinder
To use this special FireSteel Handle (see video below as well as the pictures)
- Place the handle in the palm of your hand so that the firesteel lays between your index and middle fingers.
- Position your hand palm-down and place the FireSteel Rod next to your tinder.
- While holding the firesteel handle tightly, scrape the FireSteel rod hard and fast in one fluid motion
This will produce a massive shower of white hot 5500 degree F sparks aimed directly at your tinder.
The special shape of the handle allows for creative attachment to your belt or gear.
The FireSteel Palm Scraper
This great piece of American-made gear securely snaps onto your GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel, serving double purpose as a protective case. The rectangular shape fits snugly into the palm of your hand or glove, so that you can scrape sparks from your firesteel even with heavy gloves on your hand or when your fingers are so cold you can hardly move them.
The specially hardend steel firesteel scraper that is built into the Palm Scraper is identical to that used in the "Super Scraper", so you know you'll get gobs of sparks.
If you already own a GobSpark Armageddon Firesteel, you can purchase the Palm Scraper separately.

Amazing shower of sparks

I was skeptical at first. I thought that one firesteel was the same as the next. I have several different firesteels from several different makers. Some that cost three times as much as the Armageddon with palm scrapper did. I took this out the day I received it and gave it a try. I used scrapped bark, but I was a little lazy and did not do as good a job as I normally do, it did not matter. The enormous shower of sparks this steel put out ignited my poorly shredded barked easily. I will be buying another soon, for my girlfriend, and as a Christmas present to a friend. I will not buy another brand this spouts flames when struck.

I have never had a firesteel that worked, and I am 61.5 years old! Gobspark is fantastic...I just had to get the feel of proper functionality! After that, It spits out gobs of sparks and if you scrape some into a little pile, you can ignite the pile for increased fire capability! I went to youtube and found out why Gobspark is the best on the market! Happy hunting and hot fires!

This fire steel is amazing and it's inexpensive! One quick swipe and sparks were crazy! This by far is the best flint out there. It's so light to carry and easy to use. You don't have to scrape off the black first it worked on the 1st try. Definatly buy from this seller they send you great instructions and info.

The GobSpark Armageddon Firesteel is without a doubt the best firesteel on the market. Lots of spark with minimum effort! Food, water, shelter, and fire are essential for survival.
Get yourself a GobSpark Armageddon FireSteel and you'll always have fire. Mae West said it best, "A man can be short and dumpy and getting bald but if he has fire, women will like him." :)

This Fire Steel saved my life many times this winter

I am a college student with no income had to live out of my non running car all year(even in the sub arctic temps)freezing.
I bought a GobSpark Armageddon with my college money (red for high viability). The only way I could heat food or melt ice for water was to start a fire using pieces of brick as an improvised stove, also it heated up the inside of the car enough to change cloths and dry my socks for the next day of school.
GobSpark Armageddon saved my life.

GobSpark Armageddon is an excellent fire starting tool. I like design of it a lot!!!

First the phenomenal shipping speed I ordered it Saturday got it Tuesday and Monday was a government holiday. Second strike it once get the coating off twice huge sparks spraying and crackling to the ground.
It reminded me of grinding a piece of metal with a grinding wheel.
If you can’t start a fire with this it can’t be done. I am ordering an Armageddon set for my dad and brother. Great Fire Starter.

Not only did my order arrive very quickly, and it was exactly what I expected, but ALSO, the packaging is fantastically minimal! No plastic to throw in the trash. Re-useable shipping tube, and an explanation of their company philosophy of being environmentally sensitive. I will DEFINITELY order from this company again!
