FireSteel.com Super Scrapers (also known as "firesteel strikers") are specially manufactured using an extra-hardened metal alloy that maximizes the amount of sparks you get when scraped against a FireSteel. These scrapers have become the de-facto scraper of choice among firesteel enthusiasts. Many customers have purchased my specally made firesteel scrapers by the dozen and even by the hundreds!
If you want the most out of your FireSteel, I recommend you purchase the firesteel super scraper. Every edge of this scraper is very hard, sharp and ready for action. Because the metal is of superior hardness and durablity, the sparking action is extreme to say the least!
The metal striker is securely attached to a hard plastic holder complete with lanyard hole for ease of attachement to your FireSteel or FireSteel Tube.
FireSteel.com FireSteels are already the best the FireSteels in the world. Combined with our excellent firesteel strikers, you will rest assured you can make a fire whenever and wherever you need one.

These scrapers are ideal. They are the perfect size for all fire steel sizes. I will continue to use FireSteel Strikers for the kits I make up for family and friends.

The Firesteel scraper goes hand in hand(no pun intended!) with any Firesteel rod. Easy to connect to a para cord lanyard keeping everything together. Makes nice sparks with ease.

I have tried various strikers, the steel and/or carbide ones that come with a fire steel, the carbide blade sharpener, hack saw blades,, but the striker from firesteel.com is the best. I have put one through extended use and a quick dressing with a stone or steel puts the 90degree angle right back on it. And, they are available and very reasonably priced.

After using my first super scraper, I ordered 20 more and have attached them to all of my different ferro rods. Several of my rods have both scrapers on a lanyard so I can choose the long one in cold weather and shorter one when I have ungloved hands.

I have used these scrapers in the past and they are nothing short of great. They consistently produce massive amounts of sparks which means that it is no problem starting a fire. I highly recommend them.

I am a ferro rod connoisseur of sorts. I have too many to mention and have to try every ferro rod and fire maker that becomes available.
What I have learned is that fire making is an art and to make good
fire, the more one practices, the better one gets at it.
I have many different rods that employ different scrapers. Some are fixed and some are not. I have found that the best combo is using a scraper that is not fixed but is seperate from the ferro rod. I have used many different items to scrape my ferro rods with and the best by far are the scrapers sold right here on firesteel.com.
They shower sparks from any rod I have and have crisp, hard, clean
90 degree angles on the scrapers that is key to getting great showers of sparks.
I am in the process of changing out all my scrapers to strictly run the firestel.com scrapers. From the Super scrapers to the Palm scrapers
Each type will be found attached to all my various fire steels and ferro rods. As a matter of fact, I am even attaching a Super scraper and a Palm scraper together with single ferro rods so if I am using gloves or my hands are freezing and don't want to work well, I can grip the Palm scraper. The Super scaper is used in normal usage. Two is one and one is none. I just attach both scrapers with 550 paracord and make lanyards to attach to gear and bags and I make some to just hang around my neck so they will always be on my person with a ferro rod and both scrapers hanging from the paracord.
Use your imagination when making ferro rod & scraper combos. The skys the limit and NEVER be caught without the basic tools to make fire with.
It may truly save your life one day.

I used to add hacksaw blades to my old steels to get a spark. Now I mostly just buy the kits here from Firesteel.com with the scraper already attached. I'm getting additional scrapers to keep around just in case and for some of those old steels that are laying around. These are great. Lightweight , throw a great spark and are heavier duty than other commercially sold scrapers I've seen.

I was considering making my own scrapers.
However after finding your website, reading the reviews, ordering them, and using them:
These are amazing. You could not make them as well as these for less than this price ... by far!

It will be your ferro-rod's best friend.

I guess there's not a lot to get excited about a scraper, but I'm glad I purchased a couple of them to go with my firesteels. I have tied them to my steels.......so a fire is quickly at hand so I don't have to open my knife. You can't go wrong for a couple of bucks.

This scraper works great! Very little effort to use and just makes every ferro rod look great! A lot of bang for very little bucks! I bought 8 of these!

These super scrapers are very easy to hold with a thumb and forefinger and bite into a firesteel nicely to throw Gobs Of Sparks.

Nothing else to say, they are very good at making sparks from a ferro rod, are light weight and well constructed. I will order again from this company.

Over the past couple years I've ordered about 15 of these. They are so much better then anything else out there. Very comfortable and easy to use plus their rc hardness is superb. The sharp edges stay sharp even after countless strikes. Firesteel.com is great to work with.
Ron is just the best! All orders have arrived in only 2 or 3 days and they're complete and correct. What else could you ask for! Plus their prices can't be beat. I've also replaced the strikers off of a couple brand X firesteels I'd purchased several years ago with the super scraper and tossed the brand X scrapers in the junk box. The super scraper is just better!

The best scraper for getting that fire going. On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 6.

I am ordering several more to pair with every survival kit and fire starting system I have.
If you still have a piece of Hacksaw blade tied to your fire starter, throw it out and get one of these. You will not regret it.

You can read all the other reviews, it's a great little scraper. Not huge, but easy to throw sparks with. I carry a large and small ferro rod with me. Tied one of these scrapers to each one. I am very happy with this product.

This being the age of 'ultra-light', there are many ways to lighten up a load for the ruck, Super Scraper is one of the easiest and best ways. A dozen of these small, light tools in various places on your person means no matter how many are carelessly lost, you'll always have another one (this might be important on a rainy day in the middle of the 100 Mile Wilderness!).
For instance, hang your Woodlore clone on a branch during breakfast, and fifteen miles later - when you need it to light a fire for coffee or to stave off hypothermia, it's gone. Oh my, walk back and retrieve the knife if you are able or you'll have to use one or another of those 'friction' methods you learned on that famous video channel.
Or you can grab the extra Super Scraper that, thinking ahead, you bought and squirreled away for just such an occasion. After a refreshing cuppa, hike back to retrieve the forgotten tool..
All prices are in USD.
