We've been searching high and low for a wood-based tinder that would make an excellent addition to our product offerings and we're pleased to say we found just the thing: the "Fiber Light Fire Starter™"!
Made from finely ground wood fibers and wax, produced and packaged right here in the US, Veternan owned and operated, and it is an AMAZING tinder! If you can't start a fire using this stuff, you have no business playing with fire.
Packed in convenient, re-closable zip-top baggies, our sample-sized "Fiber Light Fire Starter™" bags are lightweight and easy to carry wherever you go, affording you the ability to make fire at a moment's notice using a naturally water-resistant tinder as a fire starting aid.
PLUS: "Fiber Light Fire Starter™" bags make great stocking stuffers! Pair a baggie with a GobSpark Armageddon with Palm Scraper kit and you've got a great gift that is sure to please!
To use, open the bag and take a pinch or two of the "Fiber Light Fire Starter™" fibers from the bag. Fluff them into a small pile, then scrape your FireSteel sparks onto the pile. The pile will quickly burst into flame and burn for several minutes.
A great aid in helping you start a fire even when your firewood is damp. Also works with matches or any other flame or spark.
Remember, "Fiber Light Fire Starter™" bags are made right here in USA from wood processed and packaged by American workers. Remember - buy American made products and keep us all employed!

So far, works best with a few magnesium shavings mixed in. Extends burn time. Working on finding best way to use material with only a ferro rod.
after showing many friends and starting many fires with small amount, this works
Great product! Used just a little more than the size of a quarter's worth & we got a good platform to start our twigs, great product!
I tend to shy away from prepared tinders, favoring a simple stick of fat wood due to the large number of fires you can start with it, but this stuff is the exception. With a stick of fatwood you can scrape a LOT of tinder off as you need it and it burns a decent amount of time. I have discovered that with theach Fibre Light Firestarter tinder I can cram a lot of it very tightly into a small container. When I remove a small portion and fluff it back up again it lights every time with a single stroke of the firesteel. What’s more, it burns longer than a similar pile of fat wood shaving would. Lights easy, packs small, burns a long time. This stuff ticks all of the boxes!
