This whistle is very loud. First time I blew it the person I was with covered their ears. No doubt this can be heard from a long way off.
This replaces a whistle I used to carry. While hunting one day a friend was to take a perch about 100 yards off behind me and blow the whistle when he saw approaching game. He said he blew and blew. I NEVER heard a peep. That 'other whistle' has not been carried since...a whistle sound that cannot travel 100 yards is NOT a whistle.

This whistle is an excellent choice for any wilderness adventure for rescue or signaling and/or urban defensive situation.

I was in an alley when a strange man approached, using my Windstorm Whistle I blew and blew and yelled. thus preventing my attacker from doing harm.
