FireSteel Bunker with Scraper Lanyard and Magnesium
The very big Bunker FireSteel.com FireSteel (1/2 x 5 inches) combined with our special Super Scraper, lanyard, and a 3/8 x 3 inch rod made of soft magnesium.
To use the magnesium as tinder, simply scrape a small pile of shavings off the soft magnesium rod. When a spark from the FireSteel hits the magnesium, the magnesium will easily catch on fire and burn at a temperature of 4000 degrees F (2200 °C). This can then be used to ingnite your natural tinder
A big advantage to carrying a piece of magnesium for tinder is that it will not become damp or wet.

What else can I say but this is the REAL DEAL! If you want a firesteel that will last you for a long time and one that is rugged then this is the one fire starter your looking for.

Ron I received my fire steel I have tried alot of firestarters they have all been junk I was very surprised the first time I used firesteel it did everything you said it would I live in northwestern Colorado the heart of the rocky mountains I'm very serious about hunting camping fishing survivalskills are a must I get as faraway from people and campgrounds as I can only depend on myself your website is great thank you ron you have given new faith in firestarters

how easy it was to produce alot of sparks. Having attended every survival
course the military had to offer, I wish I had your product back then. (70's) I
highly recommend all that you have to sell.

I have got it in the wild yet but but in my kitchen i have ignited fine poplar shavings from my mora bushcraft knife and I went with the added striker,magnesium option, no mag bar will beat this.

A Big FireSteel with Giant Sparks

I got this firesteel for my SHTF cache. There is enough metal on this rod to make a million fires (editors note: a slight exaggeration!). After a couple scrapes to remove the black coating on the firesteel rod, this firesteel gives huge sparks that sputter and pop.
If you cannot start a fire using one of these firesteels, then you won't be able to start a fire with a match either.
Top notch product.
