I have the Gobspark Armaggedon in my fire starting kit resting comfortably in my bob. The Bunker rests in my quick load get the hell out of Dodge long term survival kit. This thing is a beast and throws some amazing showers of sparks.. I will probably purchase a few more for car, truck family members as well. Great product can't go wrong with purchasing from fire steel.com.

I have had several ferro rods.....but WOW!..This thing puts them all to shame. I had a light my fire that I have used for years and loved it. This new ferro rod blows it out of the water. It's easy to strike, lots and I mean lots of sparks. It seems to catch what i,considered very marginal material on fire very easy. This will be attached to my esee LS and I will order another for my haversack and my nephew.....A TRULY REMARKABLE PRODUCT THAT YOU CAN HAVE FAITH in!

This fire steel throws out the most sparks of any fire steel I have ever owned in my life. If you can't start a fire with this fire rod then you better stay home in front of your television period.

I was researching fire starting tools and came across a blog that mentioned getting the biggest ferro rod you could fit in your kit. I never even thought ferro rods came in sizes, as I have always used the Boy Scout branded fire starter. It's tiny, but it has never failed to light a fire. However, it is difficult for younger or weaker people to use efficiently. when I read "go big"
I looked around for bigger rods and found Firesteel.com. I ordered a Bunker; go big, right? After a super-fast arrival this beast was in hand. I am impressed with the heft, and the abundance of sparks it throws.
Had no problem throwing sparks with our new Bunker. Now he wants his own Bunker. After he came back from trying it out, his eyes were alight with knowledge that it was something he can use if he needs to. Great product!

This thing throws off sparks at a volume that gives me greater odds to ignite my tinder.....what ever I am able to find at moments notice. It's the most important tool in my kit in my opinion.
I carry this 6 inch Fire Steel with me every where I go - and I mean every where. I make sure that I have a combustion device on me at all times, home or abroad. I travel abroad several times a year, and I always have this in my pocket when I do.
My Military training, along with my Bushcraft /Survival skills, always dictate my mind set, in the event I should ever find myself in a situation where I need fire to sustain my survivability.

I must say this one by Fire Steel is the best. It produces plenty of sparks due to the added magnesium content I suspect. Once the outer coating is scraped off, get ready to light your fire!!

Many Very large and hot sparks.John Ray

It works, simple and effective. The spark created is impressive and I have no doubt it will be useful in the field. It's big, easier to use than most ferro rods.

I just got my Firesteel bunker in the mail and discovered it doesn't throw sparks worth a darn, it throws molton lava all over the place. Burned black spots on the painted floor like a welder does.
This thing is bad *&%! I love it and will be ordering several sizes to make set ups using deer, and elk antlers. This thing is amazing!

This thing throws sparks like a 4th of July firework. Took it camping in NW Montana. To start a fire all I had to do was grab a handfull of moss hanging from the lower pine branches. A few swipes from the "Bunker" and it was blazing. The longer length and thicker steel gives you more area to scrape to throw hot sparks. If you are serious about making a fire in a SHTF scenario, this is the firesteel to have. Don't ever skimp on your gear. Your life may depend on it.

Bought this for my Bug out bag and am not disappointed... A Huge shower of sparks and a small pile of Magnesium and instant combustion. How much would a fire be worth to you if you needed one and conditions were far from "Ideal"?

I've spent a couple hundred dollars on different firesteels. None compare to these. And what makes these even better is the price point. .Thank you firesteel.com.

This thing will get you an ember or ignition where other lesser rods might fail if your variables aren't optimal.
This one will get you an ember or ignition with much less optimal fuels. It is very easy to generate long lasting large showers of sparks.
All prices are in USD.
