I purchased the Armageddon 6 with hole just because it was the size and diameter that I preferred. As for the firesteel itself, I trust this thing with my life. Rains a whole hell of a lot of sparks that burn longer than any other firesteels I've ever used. I got to test this one out tonight actually in the freezing February rain and it did not let me down! Had a fire going after two strikes with less than marginal tinder. Huge thank you to Ron for making such a quality product.

I have been a customer of firesteel.com since 2015 and have bought the 1/2" by 5" Bunker & the 3/8" by 6" Armageddon. the Gobspark Ranger w/striker which I also bought the magnesium rod that I placed on my neck knife. And 2 Gobspark Armageddon w/striker handle that I gave as gifts. Which are all awesome....I do not buy firesteels from anywhere else. These firesteels are all top notch. I am a customer for life and I tell all my friends to buy all their Firestreels here. Strike any of these firesteels and enjoy the fire works of sparks.

I have smaller FireSteels that throw great sparks but have never had a large FireSteel. This thing is awesome! Using my 1095 knife with a 90 degree spine I can throw sparks 3'. It burns hot and has that "sizzling" sound when it hits the ground.
I bought the FireSteel with the lanyard hole in it and added an antler handle that I pinned and epoxied.
Bushcrafters, this is the real deal!
