This is the big Bunker Junior FireSteel.com FireSteel inserted into our nearly unbreakable aluminum protective FireSteel Tube ™. The FireSteel inside measures 1/2 x 4-inches and will light more than ten thousand fires.
Unscrew the cap to reveal the firesteel. Reverse the cap and screw it back into the tube to create one heck of a handle!
One end of the tube contains a very fine 20-mm liquid filled button compass with luminous dial that has been carefully checked for accuracy.
The FireSteel Tube ™ is specially made so that you can securely wrap appoximately 12-feet of high grade 550 parachute cord made to military specifications. This cord has 7 inner strands surrounded by an outer sheath and is rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550-pounds. "550 paracord" has a thousand and one survival uses; from field expedient equipment fixes, fishing line and even dental floss.
Each FireSteel tube also has a genuine FireSteel.com FireSteel Super Scraper and lanyard consisting of and additonal 3 feet of military spec 550 parachute cord. These famous FireSteel.com super scrapers have been proven to give ultra robust sparks when used on a FireSteel.
The FireSteel can be easily replaced should it wear out (unlikely for years to come!).

There are only a handful of products that truly give you peace of mind that they will absolutely provide their intended function and that you can rely on them time and time again. Not to mention the package is completed with a good-looking, bulletproof carry system. The list is short of items that I don't leave home without, and this is one of them.

I didn't know what to expect when i ordered the FireSteel. When i opened the box, this thing is a MONSTER!!! and boy was the Rod thicker than I imagined.
The Craftsmanship of this product is outstanding. They should put a warning, stating not to stare directly at the sparks because they are crazy bright. The sparks are huge and when they hit the ground they bounce all over the place.
I would definitely recommend buying the Palm Scraper because the scraper that it comes with is kinda small and the sparks it produces aren't as big as when you use the Palm Scraper.
This monster was built to last you a lifetime and yes worth every penny.

I was very impressed when I received my Firesteel Tube Bunker March 3/2012.
Over the years of many outdoor adventures, I have owned and used all the commercial steels and starters. Nothing compares to the ...FIRESTEEL.COM >FireSteels< They are the real deal!

Well Made For A Lifetime of Use!

I was very impressed when I received my Firesteel Tube Bunker. The firesteel itself is massive. There is enough firesteel for several lifetimes of use.
There is an ample amount of paracord wrapped around the handle. It is available for ready use if you should ever get in a circumstance where you need some immediately. The lanyard is of ample length to easily carry it around your neck.
The fiesteel portion easily screws into the handle so that you can start fires. It stores securely within the handle.
I look forward to leaving this to my so, my grandchildren and my great-grandchildren.

This firesteel has a great handle, works great for distance AWAY from a fire as well. I can stand straight up and scrape it and watch sparks fall to the floor and bounce around. This is a great product, Ron i give you 5 stars *****

Good Work, Well Designed

I have large hands and much experience in the bush, Cubs ,Scouts,hunting and
combat medic, lots. I have stayed away from buying any fire stick because they
are too small, for me they would be very hard to use with cold hands. My
experience in Canada is that my hands are always cold. I could not be happier
with the large bunker style that I have just received from you. Really good
work guys, well designed.

This is simply THE best firesteel product on the market that I know of. Its an excellent fire starting tool. I do plenty of wilderness snowmobiling sometimes in -10f to-20f; this product will be going with me on everything trip.
