  1. amazing ferro rod

Posted by mike on Apr 14th 2015

Have seen many review and videos of this ferro rod and have to say having in hand does not compare. This is a spark throwing beast! I was surprised how bright and intense the sparks were. Highly recommend. Will be buying more.

  2. Great Product

Posted by Chris Andrews on Mar 7th 2015

I have not had an opportunity to use the firesteel in the field, but it sure throws off a lot of long lasting sparks right out of the box when tested in my kitchen. I did as much reading up on this product as I could and watched the numerous videos available on You Tube by users who had nothing but praise for the quality of the item.

Who wants to be disappointed when it comes time to use the firesteel in the field. I doubt very much if I will be!

  3. what can I add?

Posted by Godfrey Harrison on Mar 1st 2015

these are the best and I've had many different kinds from cheap to expensive. I can't really add too much from what has allready been said. check out my response to the Survival 3.15. It is for both. God Bless you Ron and Crew.

  4. When second best is not an option

Posted by John on Dec 25th 2014

After using your products in Alaska, and relying on them as part of my survival kit in Afghanistan, as well as Iraq, these Firesteel products are worthy of reliance in the worst conditions. As a survival, evasion, resistance, and escape (SERE) Instructor, I teach others to use these products as part of their training.

When you must be able trust a product's reliance, use Firesteel.com products.

  5. Best FerroRod Ever

Posted by Alicia on Oct 3rd 2014

When your life is dependent upon the equipment that you have on your person at the time, this is one that I will never be without. Survival requires the ability to create fire. This is one product that you can rely on. Great company and a great product!

  6. Best Fire steel on the Market

Posted by Mike on Aug 7th 2013

I have a few of these fire starters and in my opinion this is my best one. I believe in the KISS system (Keep It Simple Stupid) it's nothing fancy but it works like a champ. The extra bulk this has with the length is just what I needed to carry with my Leatherman Surge, combined with the maxpedition sheath and my Fenix light on the other side this system is just what you need for the basics.

  8. Wilderness Search and Rescue Team Crew Boss

Posted by Mike D, Allegany Co NY on Aug 19th 2012

Ordered one to try...ordered a second one for a back-up after working with the first one in the field. Absolutely great survival fire starter! Between the Firesteel and petroleum jelly smeared cotton balls I don't even bother with a lighter.

  9. Great to keep as a backup supply

  12. Amazing

Posted by Erik on May 20th 2011

This is the best fire starting product on the market!!! I was a huge fan of the mag block and striker but the mag block is nothing compared to the firesteel. I was able to get the box and newspaper in it on fire in 30 sec. right out of the box. On the 3 stroke. I am telling all my army buddies about this. The best piece of gear in my kit outside of my knife. I would recommend this to everyone to start outdoor fires in the summer to all outdoors camper and survivalists. Best bit of gear I have ever purchased!!!!!!!! Thank you Ron!!!!!

  13. These are hands down the best around!

Posted by Mike on May 20th 2011

No buyers remorse! These will not let you down!
