Easily upgrade your fire making and other gear by simply adding one of these handy cordlock LED lights.
I like to attach a cordlock light to the lanyard that holds my firesteel and scraper so that even in a pitch black night I can see enough to build a fire.
It is also a good idea to carry a few extra cordlock lights scattered about our gear - for example, attach a cordlock light to your jacket and another to your sleeping bag - you never know when you'll need a handy source of light!
When it is dark and you are fumbling for your gear or trying to start a fire you will be glad your cordlock light with the bright LED is close to hand.
Our mini cordlock lights easily attach to lanyards (including your FireSteel Lanyard!), clothing, cords, and other gear so that bright LED lighting is always within easy reach.
I like to replace the ordinary cordlocks that come with hooded sweatshirts, sleeping bags, stuff sacks, etc, with these cordlock lights. Gear that serves double duty is always a plus when in the Great Outdoors.
Pressing the black button on the side of the cord lock turns on the bright LED light. Press the button again to make the light even brighter. Press the button a third time to cause the light to rapidly blink. It is that easy.
These are not cheaply made - composed of rugged plastic with a corrosion proof stainless steel cord lock spring, these cordlocks are designed with the outdoorsman in mind.
Lithium batteries included.
Great for survival kits, camping and hiking, walking in town.

I picked a couple of these cordlock lights and will get a couple more for sure. I replaced the military issue cordlocks on my rucksacks with these lights and it makes digging in the pack at night or after lights-out in a barracks setting lots more agreeable. On one, I colored the bulb with a red sharpie marker for the sake of tactical requirements/keeping early sleepers in the barracks happy.

Dear Outdoor Brothers and Sisters;
I bought one of these lights about a month ago just to see what it was, how it was made, and to find out how it preformed.
I've managed to burn up three sets of batteries in testing the burn times. They are pretty much as Ron said they would be in the product description.
The light itself is well constructed, the spring loaded plunger area is large enough to put two 550 parachute cords through easily so it should be no problem attaching it to a "bag" with a string pull, or even on a shoe string, as I did as part of my testing. I also put it on the drawstring on the hood of my parka, and even tried it on the draw string of my pair of "PJ" bottoms. I did this to see if I could get the light to accidently turn ON. I could not. :-)
In short, yes I DO recommend this product and yes, I will be ordering more for my personal use as well as gifts.
If I had to say anything bad or negative about this light is that, at least for now, you are limited to just the one color! <<Hint-Hint Ron! }:-) >>
Thank You ALL for your time and I hope this review helps you in your decisions to buy, or not.
Cordially,
Coyote1
